* Notice of change of metal parts
Previous gold-plated decorations have been changed to dedicated screws carved out of solid brass only for the carrying top tube cover.
In particular, the long shaft screw for connecting the handle, which was a three-piece pipe with a flat-head screwdriver groove, has been changed to a two-piece T8 groove screw.
In addition to the convenience of installation, the sense of unity between metal decorations has been enhanced and more robust.
* Two T8 wrenches are included for installation when the product is delivered.

One and only design,
The Carrying Top Tube Cover is a unique design created with the unique know-how of Arte di mano, which is recognized in the world market as a camera accessory.
It effectively prevents contact between the top tube, which is the main frame, and the wheels when folding, which is the purpose of the top tube cover. Also, when moving when folded, the handle makes it easier to move.
The carrying top tube cover consists of a top tube cover and a handle part that have been carefully calculated and designed in a single pattern.
The biggest drawback of most existing products approached with this idea is the nature of the Brompton frame, which draws a streamlined shape upwards, so when the handle is lifted, both fixing parts of the handle have to come together in the middle, making it difficult to have a normal function.
In general, in the case of a one-pattern design, it is an inefficient design in which more leather is thrown away. However, the reason why this method adopted a low-efficiency design is to overcome such shortcomings.
A lacing-type fastening using a leather cord located in the center holds the width of the center firmly.
The straps, which become the lugs of the handlebars located at the front and back, wrap around the frame of the bicycle.
In particular, the wrap-around design of the lug strap independently developed by Arte di mano has the function of grabbing the frame more tightly by lifting it upwards. If installed properly, the lugs of the handlebars do not gather more than a certain level when lifted due to the weight of the bicycle.

As a folding bike, the Brompton has a unique and attractive folding method. However, when folding, the top tube, which becomes the main frame, and the wheels come into contact, leaving traces of use on the frame.

And the second function is to hold the handle with your hand when folding and move it more easily. (Due to the center of gravity, it is difficult to use as a handle when the bike is unfolded.)
Since it has sufficient length, it is recommended to position the bicycle considering the center of gravity of the bicycle when folding rather than the contact surface of the wheel.

The first samples were made using hand-sewn stitching, but apart from the laboriousness of the work, it was difficult to self-install.
In particular, self-installation was a task that had to be solved for overseas customers.
Have a non-challenging difficulty level without compromising the appearance.
The conclusion I reached after a long time of deliberation was to adopt a fastening method using the leather lacing technique, a leather craft technique that uses a leather strap to weave a pre-drilled hole without using a needle.
With as little effort as just tying shoelaces, you can create your own stylish and natural fastening that you like. (You can also use real shoelaces, sneaker laces, etc. to complete the fastening.)
It comes with a natural leather strap made of real leather, and can be completed in a short time using the base ball stitch technique, a stitching method used for baseballs guided through the video.
Of course, it can be fastened in various ways, but the basic size and clearance are designed with baseball stitch in mind.
Due to the nature of the baseball stitch technique using thick leather straps, a small gap is required at the cross-section closure.
It was designed with such a gap in mind, and this is an intentional design element, not a product problem. This width may vary depending on the type of leather or the tension level of the leather strap.

This is Buttero, a representative article produced by Walpier, Tannery, which has been the third generation family business and produces the finest leather in Italy.
The leather is vegetable-processed using the finest French hides. It has a very smooth surface and at the same time has a rich oil content, which makes it the best quality leather that boasts a moist touch despite being vegetable. Despite its smooth surface, it has a rich and deep color that is clearly distinguished from other vegetable leathers with the unique touch of leather, rather than an artificial feel, and the unique color expression of Buttero.
